Infants and babies

infants babies osteo treatment

Our experienced osteopaths share a clinical focus on treating babies & young children.

Being so small and full of life, babies are sensitive to any unresolved strain or tension from their positioning in utero or from their birth. Osteopathic treatment is focused on relieving tension and restoring normal balance and function in the ligaments, joints and muscles of the spine, neck and head by using the most gentle approach possible.

Parents bring their babies and children in for osteopathic management for various conditions of the neuromusculoskeletal system such as a stiff neck, torticollis and associated flat head, headaches, breastfeeding issues relating to a babies restricted neck movement, clicking hips, sporting injuries, scoliosis, and back pain.

Both Dr Belinda Coulton and Dr Patrick Callanan have completed post graduate studies in Neonatal & Infants Paediatric Manual Therapy, and were awarded graduate certificates by Victoria University in 2012.
