Mikahla was born and bred in Maffra, and loved growing up in a small country town. Throughout her childhood, Mikahla was involved in many sporting clubs including netball, basketball and swimming. She has now returned to the Maffra Football Netball Club and the Maffra Basketball Association, after being away in Melbourne studying for 5 years. She is very excited to be moving back home and having the opportunity to work within her local community, seeing lots of friendly and familiar faces.
Mikahla’s interest in osteopathy began in secondary school. She has a caring nature, and has always had an interest in helping people. She completed a double Bachelor Degree in Health Science and Osteopathy, graduating from RMIT University in 2017. She has a great passion for osteopathy, it’s holistic approach to each individual patient, and its ability to improve the overall health in people.
Mikahla is enthusiastic about further developing her skills and clinical knowledge. She is eager to see patients from all age groups with a variety of presentations, including sports injuries and chronic pain. In the future Mikahla wants to further her knowledge of pregnancy and the changes the body goes through, as well as paediatrics and children. She is keen to continue to learn more and gain great experience working with the team at EGOC.
