Sharon joined our team in December 2020 and works from the Bairnsdale and Orbost clinics.
Sharon qualified as an Osteopath from The University College of Osteopathy (formerly the British School of Osteopathy) obtaining a Master’s Degree in 2014. She also qualified as a Medical Acupuncturist in 2014 and qualified as a level 5 Sport Therapist in 2006 She has worked in multidisciplinary clinics and the NHS since 2014. Sharon also opened her own clinical practice as an Osteopath in 2014 in the UK. In 2020 Sharon qualified with APPI clinical Pilates to expand her rehab abilities with her patients.
Sharon is an ex-professional ballet dancer from South Africa and has always had an interest in the workings of the human body. After retiring as a ballet dancer, she travelled around Europe for a few years and had the opportunity to work the in the Red Sea resort of Dahab where she lived for 7 years teaching scuba diving and furthermore operated a sport therapy practice treating a variety of athletes from windsurfers, scuba divers and yoga individuals. Whilst in Dahab, Sharon gained her Advanced Trimix diving certification and dived to 100m in the world famous Blue Hole. When she is not diving, she enjoys snow skiing.
