Rebecca graduated from RMIT university in 2016, with distinction in a double bachelor in Health Science and Applied Science (Osteopathy). Rebecca has lived locally in East Gippsland all of her life, and attended high school at Orbost Secondary College.
“My interest in Osteopathy initiated during my teenage years as a member of the local Snowy Rovers football-netball club, where I played netball and was exposed to many injuries. I always wanted to work in the healthcare field and thought Osteopathy would suit my interest in helping others and desire to constantly learn new things.”
Rebecca has a keen interest in treating many musculoskeletal conditions, and uses a variety of both firm and indirect techniques.
“Each day I become more fascinated and curious about the way the human body works and how we move. I really enjoy learning how the nervous system affects, and is affected by, the body.”
Rebecca is very excited to work alongside the local community, continue to learn and develop her skills and provide the best care she can to our patients. Rebecca wanted to move back to Orbost after completing her studies due to the experience she will gain working in a rural community and to be closer to her family.
Whilst at university, Rebecca completed further training in dry needling and cupping, and worked at the Box Hill North football club as a sports trainer.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time at the beach and going for coffee with friends.
